about
An Australian version of our song inspired by the recent horrific fires there and the Australian government's inaction on climate change. We hope that our song gives voice not only to our feelings about the AUS PM and his policies regarding climate change, but potentially to millions of others as well.
The world is getting hotter, there’s gasses in the sky
Oceans getting higher, we’re all about to die
We know that this is happening, we’ve known for 50 years
Though Morrison does not believe in climate change
The evidence is pretty fucking clear
That anthropogenic climate change is real
You fucking asshole!, when will you believe? when will you believe?
You got your foot on the gas and your tiny hands on the wheel
You fucking asshole, it’s a planetary thing, we’re all on the same team
Read the ice core samples, measure gasses in the sky
Are you arguing the greenhouse effect does not exist
Or that in this case it does not apply?
We might not hurt our children but we’ll probably hurt their kids
and their kids, and their kid’s kids, and their kid’s kid’s kids
you can’t see the fact of it which is
Chorus
It's been labeled the worst fire season ever recorded
There is misery all over this island.
One hundred fifty mile an hour winds, with apocalyptic fury,
Record-breaking heat is fueling an … utter devastation
93% of the great barrier reef has been affected by coral bleaching
Flames destroyed at least 8400 homes and buildings
Pulverized with holes from the hailstones
The monster storm, the monster storm, the monster storm
Is also unleashing tornadoes
Monster, monster, monster, monster
Chorus
